The silver medalists of the Estonian youth championships, tennis players Grete Gull and Georg Strasch, each received a 2,000-euro reward from Summus Capital. The award ceremony took place on November 10, as part of the 2022 Tennis Year Awards Gala.
“Historically, tennis has been one of the flagships of Estonian sports, and we are happy to see how the future generation maintains a high level and aspires to the top of the world. This is shown by the recent achievements of Grete and Georg – both of them received prestigious medals from the championship held at the end of the summer. We believe that this is just the beginning, we wish them continued attention and will continue to root for them and support them,” says Boriss Skvortsov, Chairman of the Board of Summus Capital.
“The private sector’s support and faith in Estonian tennis is what helps young athletes move forward towards new achievements. We are grateful to Summus Capital for their support and will continue our cooperation with great pride,” says Allar Hint, general secretary of the Estonian Tennis Association.
Last October, the Estonian Tennis Association and the Baltic real estate company Summus Capital signed an agreement according to which Summus Capital will continuously support Estonian youth tennis in the following years.
